Rakoun - The Racoon
Scavengers of the night, the rakoun are famous for their dexterous hands, which they use for entering households uninvited to steal food or shiny items. These creatures originally inhabited the forests of Eluan, and were hunted to almost extinction because their tails were highly valued for winter clothing.
The creatures are the size of a domestic cat, and have a gray coat with patches of white and black. The rakoun are bright and known for their curiosity and capacity for handling certain objects, which may be why thieves use them for stealing, or inventors use them as assistants. Although they are good companions in general, they are incapable of controlling themselves when they spot an item that catches their attention, and can get their humanoid compa- nion in trouble.
