It was a man. Or at least a man he had been at some point. He remained seated in a large chair, a sort of throne without the trappings of royalty. His skin, covered with pustules, was white, dull, with a greasy sheen and uneven texture. In several places it was transparent, revealing in the deeper layers the fat irrigated by a gray liquid. His misshapen belly was expanded, distended, as if his viscera were in violent rebellion against the prison inside his body. His arms were thin, covered in sagging, drooping skin. His eyes were reddened, bloodshot, above deep, blackened circles. But more shocking was the entourage that accompanied him.
Protruding from his abdomen, several tubes were connected to several pigs, which were hanging, with defeated eyes of agony, in painful prostration. The tubes that came out of that man's belly entered the belly of animals.
Sitting down, the man wrote, calmly and continuously, until he looked up and saw the two strangers.
“I am Domuz Chirog, tenth degree Surgeon Officer. Or was, I don't know anymore. Not that it matters now.”
