Begl - The Beagle
The begl were first trained for hunting thanks to their incredible sense of smell and small size, which allows them to give chase in the tightest of spaces. Unlike other dogs, the begl can mimic different sounds, which makes them useful for rogues who want to distract unsuspecting victims. The dog is a common sight in the ports of Thamarya, where they are used to find hidden food or cargo in arriving boats.
These dogs make great companions for rangers and hunters, although it will adapt to any adventurer in the wild. Small and full of energy, the begl are fascinated by smells and will be attracted towards a strong new odour unless stopped. As a companion, they are full of energy and require lots of attention; howbeit, on the upside, they don't eat as much as other dogs.
