Iena - The Hyena
Favorite amongst necromancers, this creature has a link with death and the undead. It can find undead, but doesn't turn or repel them; they just feel one another, a specific attraction or magnetism. Considered by some sages as a threshold, these carrion eaters are intense and mysterious, although very fussy eaters, preferring old and rotten meat over something fresh. It is a brave creature; its coat is a combination of brown with darker patches. The iena is immune to fear and loves cemeteries. It is a tricky companion. But has its benefits, amongst them that it will beco- me utterly loyal over a period of time, never leaving its companion. But until that day, a high upkeep is needed.
The iena are potent creatures, their bodies strong, and their jaws capable of ripping and crushing bones with ease, something essential for carrion eaters.
A dragonian wizard named Jagar said he had come across a book by Clatius Thucid, an arch necromancer who existed centuries ago and is believed to have defeated death.
