Otto - The Otter
Otto make great companions because of their intelligence and empathy. These creatures inhabit cold waters, be it rivers or seas, and can survive freezing temperatures thanks to their great dark gray coats. Otto are very dexterous with their paws and can operate some basic tools, making them ideal companions for inventors or rogues, whom they assist in their activities.
In the northern region of the Urucan Wastelands, where the temperatures drop, just between the Lyrian Sea and the mountains of the Dragon's Spine, is an area blessed with hundreds of small rivers and lagoons known as the Cozy Dens because of the hundreds of lairs that otto have built close to the water lines. Some of these lairs divert the course of a river to flow further south, occasionally transforming the harsh and arid terrain of the wastelands.
An ex-adventurer who became a hermit was helped by his otto companion, and they built a cottage in a river, just over the water but extending to the shore. A large and elegant place made of wood, almost unapproachable, which was what the hermit wanted.
