Crabe - The Giant Crab
Small but sturdy, the crabe is a preferred companion amongst sailors, fishermen, and peoples of the sea. Their brown and pink shell provides them with natural armor, and they can regenerate their limbs. Although uncommon, some people inland have them as companions because all that's needed is to keep their gills moist, and they can live on land. The crabe is very efficient at scouting and hunting; their small size and camouflage abilities allow them to approach places or prey unseen.
A common practice amongst some pirates and treasure seekers is to anchor their ship in the area where they believe the treasure to be. After they ensure the ship won't sail away, they descend into the waters with their crabe compa- nions. Once the seabed is reached, the crabe is released while its companion follows closely behind. The creature will amble through the floor, occasionally digging its claws into the sand, stopping only when it hits the presumed treasure chest.
