Among the creatures whose inhabitants of the plains around the mountains of the Skarpatjor report seeing in the distance, in whispered conversations in taverns, lit by a few candles against the darkness of the depths of the night, the one that most frightens them is the Bahaomet.  Some say they see in the skies at twilight a strange winged creature, with the legs and head of a goat and the torso of a woman. It is unknown if Bahaomet is a monster, a person who has been cursed by a god, or even an illusion. What the legends say is that, unlike most monsters and beasts, whose danger comes from feral brutality, Bahaomet's threat is of another order... even spiritual, some would say.  There are few reports of encounters with this creature. And, from the stories that have survived, nothing can be inferred, apart from a myriad of contradictions, mysteries and absurdities. It is said that Bahaomet is able to cast spells to deceive those who travel through the rugged mountains, causing them to take false paths and plummet into the abysses. Others say he is capable of instilling greed and distrust among fellow caravans, causing them to fight each other to the death. There are even those who say that this creature, which hides in stony heights, has a predilection for drinking human blood. Of all these stories, it is not known where the fact ends and the myth begins.
