A young Tiefling girl whose earliest memories are in the chains of a Sudd Tohsti Sheikh. After making a pact with Markamin, the God of Chaos, she was able to flee and find safety beyond the badlands of Sudd Tohst. Though she discovered the downsides of making a pact with a God of Chaos, thus she travelled to the University of Ardris to better learn about and contain these aspects of her new life.
Mhari is a Tiefling girl with a tragic and tumultuous past. She was born into slavery in the land of Sudd Tohst, where she was seen as exotic and desirable due to her unusual appearance. Mhari was owned by a wealthy Sheikh, who used her as a plaything and subjected her to all manner of abuse.
Despite the hardships she faced, Mhari never lost her spirit or her desire to be free. She longed for the day when she would be able to escape her life of slavery and forge her own path. That day came when Mhari made a pact with the god of Chaos, Markamin. In exchange for her loyalty, Markamin unleashed a swarm of exploding frogs upon the Sheikh's palace, then arming Mhari with powerful magic so that she could slay any who opposed her in her escape.
Mhari managed to escape with a large sum of gold that she had stolen from the Sheikh's coffers, and she used it to fund her escape as she left Sudd Tohst in search of freedom. Unfortunately the closest kingdom of Baldur is one that looks down upon both Tieflings and arrests unauthorised magic users. Though it was here she unfortunately learnt the downsides of her pact with Markamin: at seemingly random intervals spells that she is not even aware she has will cast themselves, varying in effect from embarrassing to potentially deadly.
So in bid to minimise potential harm to others, she fled to the University of Ardris where she paid for her tuition with her stolen fortunes and they created a device for her that would suppress her magic until the time she could learn to suppress it herself. So too have they aided her in becoming a stronger spellcaster as well. Now she hopes once she has mastered these aspects of herself, she may return to Sudd Tohst and begin a revolution to set free all those bound in chains.
