In the cold to the far north live Waddlings, a Penguin type race who are just as good as their southern counterparts Owklin. Despite living in Frigid Wastes or the Contracting Isles, these little, but stout, birdkin race are very resourceful with a rich history, although that is quickly being lost to the elements.
Shardfall has many defensive points such as Frost Shield and Snow Fort. Due to regular blizzard weather, these strongholds can sometimes get cut off supply transports from Comet Town or Ice Haven, in times like these Rangers from strongholds will venture out into the field to find food. Their diet is typically fish but will occasionally east felled Frostwolves which are displaced from the bad weather. Frostwolves are no easy target for a Waddling though.
